Trip is a shareholder of Barnes, Bailey, Janoush & Dick, P.A., with emphasis in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, and sales of businesses; taxation; wills, trusts, and estate planning; probate administration; trust litigation and modification; qualified and non-qualified deferred compensation; civil and criminal tax controversy and trials in all courts; divorce/tax; asset protection; and the formation of captive insurance companies. His practice has been limited to matters of taxation since 1980.
Trip has tried approximately 200 cases in civil courts and 40 cases in the United States Tax Court, and has planned hundreds of estates, including preparing for and litigating numerous estate tax returns (Form 706). He has conducted over 300 seminars for professional, academic, and civic groups on taxation, business, and estate planning, many for the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants.
